Emerging Treatments
Neurodegenerative diseases are a group of conditions that gradually destroy parts of the human nervous with diverse and highly debilitating impacts. In addition to Alzheimer’s Disease, neurodegenerative diseases include amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson’s disease (PD) and multiple sclerosis (MS) among others. In the aggregate neurodegenerative diseases affect some 50 million people globally. This panel will discuss the current slate of therapeutics in the market for these treating these diseases, agents that are currently undergoing clinical trials, efficient and effective platform approaches to clinical studies in this space and prospects such as Calico/Abbvie’s ALS agent fosigotifator, Sanofi’s tolebrutinib for MS and AbbVie’s Tavapadon.
