Neurodegenerative diseases are a group of conditions that gradually destroy parts of the human nervous with diverse and highly debilitating impacts. In addition to Alzheimer’s Disease, neurodegenerative diseases include amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson’s disease (PD) and multiple sclerosis (MS) among others. In the aggregate neurodegenerative diseases affect some 50 million people globally.
