WMIF MAIN SITEKiran Maski, MD MPH is an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School and child neurologist and sleep medicine specialist at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Maski’s clinical work and research is focused on CNS disorders of Hypersomnolence. She served as the Co-Chairperson of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine Task Force for the Treatment of Central Nervous System Hypersomnias (2019-2021), Task Force member for the International Classification of Sleep Disorder version 3-Text Revisions (2021-2023), and Chairperson for Protocol development for MSLT/MWT in children (2022-2023). She is a member of the medical advisory boards for WakeUp Narcolepsy, Kleine Levin Foundation, and the Hypersomnia Foundation. Her research on sleep diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers has received grant support from the National Institutes of Health (K23, R61/R33), American Academy of Neurology, American Sleep Medicine Foundation, Wake Up Narcolepsy, Boston Children’s Hospital Research Council Fund and Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. She is the 2024 recipient of the Research Pioneers award from Wake Up Narcolepsy for her research in pediatric narcolepsy.
