WMIF MAIN SITENicole M. Davis, PhD, is a professional science communicator with over 30 years of experience working in science — both as a researcher and observer — and conveying its promise, potential, and pitfalls to the world. For the last decade, she has led her own freelance writing practice focused on communicating advances that lie at the intersection of biology, technology, and medicine. Her clients include major academic medical centers and universities, non-profit research organizations, and biopharma companies across the U.S.
Prior to that, Dr. Davis worked at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT, an independent, non-profit research organization in Cambridge, MA, where she served for nearly 10 years in a variety of capacities, including science writing and editing, media relations, strategic communications, public relations, crisis communications, and development communications.
She holds a Ph.D. in genetics from Harvard University and a master’s in medical science from Harvard Medical School.
