Mr. LaViolette is Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pulse Biosciences (NASDAQ: PLSE).   He is also Managing Partner at SV Health Investors, a leading life sciences growth equity and venture capital investor.  Mr. LaViolette has a distinguished 44-year career in the medical device industry and holds chairman and director roles at a number of private medical device companies.  In addition, Mr. LaViolette is a director for Edwards Lifesciences, the past chairman and current director of the Medical Device Manufacturers Association, and Chairman of the Innovation Growth Board for Mass General Brigham.

Previously, Mr. LaViolette spent three decades building and leading medical device businesses.   Most recently, he spent 15 years at Boston Scientific Corporation where he served at various times as President of Cardiology, President of International, Group President of Endosurgery, Group President of Cardiovascular, and Chief Operating Officer.  Mr. LaViolette has extensive transactional experience in the industry, having led myriad acquisition integrations as an operator and numerous company sale processes, as board director and chairman.

Mr. LaViolette received his BA in Psychology from Fairfield University (1979) and his MBA from Boston College (1981).
